Dermal filler uses a gel made primarily of hyaluronic acid - a substance your body already produces naturally - to restore lost volume, soften lines, and enhance contour in areas like the cheeks, lips, and jawline. Radiesse® adds structure and prompts your skin to build its own collagen for firmer-looking support. Dr. Boican customizes placement and technique to your unique facial anatomy, so results look like a refreshed version of you. Results are immediately visible and typically last 6–18 months.
Botox® is a neuromodulator - a purified protein that temporarily relaxes the specific facial muscles responsible for expression lines like forehead creases, crow's feet, and frown lines. The goal is a natural, well-rested appearance where you still look like yourself. Results begin appearing within 3–7 days and last around 3–4 months, with dosing adjusted to your individual muscle strength and goals. We also offer Jeuveau®, an FDA-approved neurotoxin for frown lines.

Skin remodeling (microneedling) is a procedure that uses fine, sterile needles to create tiny, controlled micro-injuries in the skin, triggering your body's own natural healing response and collagen production. Dr. Boican performs this with the Dermapen 4™, an FDA-cleared device that allows precise control over needle depth for your specific skin concerns, with optional exosome or PDRN add-ons available to enhance results. Over a series of sessions, this can visibly improve skin texture, fine lines, enlarged pores, and acne scarring.
SculptMaxx MD is a membership-based concierge practice providing comprehensive primary care to men and women in Sarasota and the surrounding area. Membership means more time with Dr. Boican, a board-certified internal medicine physician: longer, unhurried visits, same- or next-day appointments, and direct access by phone and secure message. Membership is $150 per month.
Ongoing, physician-guided support around the daily habits - nutrition, movement, sleep, stress - that determine how well any treatment plan actually works. Coaching is personalized to your health history and coordinated directly with your primary care at SculptMaxx MD, not a generic program.
Dr. Alice Boican has a multi-cultural background, born in Europe and educated in the U.S. She graduated from UCLA and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She has performed as an opera singer throughout Europe. Dr. Boican is a board-certified physician who brings the full weight of rigorous medical training to aesthetic medicine and primary care. A graduate of the Medical University of Sofia, she completed her Internal Medicine residency at HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, licensed to practice in the State of Florida. She currently practices as a Hospitalist, primary care and aesthetic physician. She has undergone extensive aesthetic training in injectables, neurotoxins and bioidentical hormone therapy.
Her background in Internal Medicine - the study of the whole body, hormone physiology, and metabolic health - is the foundation of SculptMaxx MD's approach to both aesthetics and comprehensive primary care, areas where physician-level medical judgment matters as much as technique. Every aesthetic treatment and every primary care visit at SculptMaxx MD is provided personally by Dr. Boican - never delegated to unsupervised staff - bringing the same standard of medical rigor to aesthetics that she brings to Internal Medicine. At SculptMaxx MD, Dr. Boican upholds a high standard of care. She believes everyone deserves to look and feel their best at every age, and she provides customized therapy programs to help all her patients achieve their wellness goals.
