What are exosomes?
Exosomes are tiny particles that cells release to communicate with one another. They carry proteins and other messenger molecules. Skin-care exosome products are designed to deliver these messengers to the skin surface, where they support the look of healthy, well-hydrated skin.
In our office, JuveXO™ exosome serum products are applied to the skin, often right after a treatment that briefly opens tiny channels in the skin, so the product can penetrate better.

What to expect
Skin consultation. Dr. Boican reviews your skin, history and goals.
Treatment. Skin is cleansed and a numbing cream is applied. Dr. Boican then performs microneedling with the Dermapen 4™ and applies JuveXO™ exosome serum. The session normally takes about one hour.
Aftercare. Gentle skin care and sun protection for a few days.
Series. Many patients choose a short series of sessions spaced six weeks apart for optimal results. Many patients pair this treatment with neurotoxin injections.

Are exosomes FDA-approved?
No exosome product is FDA-approved to treat any disease or condition. At SculptMaxx MD they are used only as a topical cosmetic skin treatment, and never injected.
Is it painful?
The serum itself is not. Microneedling is done after a numbing cream, and most patients feel only mild pressure or a light scratching sensation.
When will I see results?
